Gingrich-Paul-Romney-Santorum would be worse for him and somewhat more likely than Santorum in second.

Romney would prefer that Santorum be relatively strong so as to split the vote with Gingrich more.  Meanwhile, a 2nd place for Paul could put him in a better position to challenge Romney in Nevada.

Neither scenario is that likely, though 538 says it has a slim chance of happening. Wink
