What would the 1976 election be like if Ford had choosen Ronald Reagan instead of Bob Dole as his running mate?

Carter would have been able to win the midwest, like Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and possibly Indiana and Kansas.  He would have lost some ground in the South because of Reagan's conservatism.  The only states he would lose are Texas, Mississippi, and possibly Louisiana.  Carter may also have done better in the Northeast.  In the west, I think Carter would have done the same, except in California.  People would think Reagan was overbearing on Ford.
