Obama is lying through his teeth when he says that he will let the Bush tax cuts expire for the wealthy.  Its not going to happen.  The reason is that even if he is reelected and Democrats regain the House and keep the Senate, there wont be 60 votes in the Senate to raise taxes on anyone.

Just let them expire? That isnt going to happen either.  There is no way Democrats would ever let taxes go up on the middle class, which is what will happen if the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire.

What Democrats should have done in late 2010 was to hold a vote to keep only the middle class Bush tax cuts and when that failed, run a national campaign against Republicans for voting to raise middle class taxes.  Of course, Democrats are too stupid to do something that makes sense like this.

This is why Bush was a transformative President.  He knew that their would be no way to get rid of a tax cut once passed.

You act like taxes on richers have never been raised, ever. They will go back to sustainable levels (along with taxes on the rest of us, most likely), but organized money will make sure it is as difficult as possible.

How will that happen if Republicans continue to have a lock on the House?

A "lock" on the House? Whatever does that mean?

In your first sentence you just stated that Obama says he will let the Bush tax cuts expire.  The expiration is automatic.  It doesn't matter who controls the House and Senate unless they have a 2/3 majority and can overrule a presidential veto.  The very fact that the tax cuts expire for everyone automatically has been shaping political discourse for over a year. The fact that you are not aware of this and are calling the president a liar tells us a lot about you.

They expire automatically professor.  Read your first sentence.

Temporarily extend the Bush tax cuts and if the Dems regain the House, in Nov or in 2014 put a 30% across the board Sheldon Whitehouse millionaire tax, through the reconciliation process. But it is highly unlikely this year, the Dems will control the house even if Obama gets reelected. Will have to wait to 2014.

That's not what you said... even if your post was viewed in the most creative way possible.  Your credibility was shot in post number one.  The best course of action is to ask the mods to close this thread and try and bash Obama more effectively at a later date.
