It's not about excuses, and you will never get any kind of amnesty.

He did not argue for amnesty.

Yes he did. If it doesn't include E-verify and a touchback requirement, it is amnesty.

If you think we can realistically just deport millions of people, you are out of your mind. Some form of amnesty as part of a larger immigration scheme is the only realistic, pragmatic option.

You insult my intelligence. Did you not read my post in the "Who won the debate?" thread, yesterday?

If it's in this particular board, chances are I didn't subject myself to it.

This is why Obama is better in speaking platitudes than Romney, Politico.

Obama is the best speaker since Kennedy, probably, so there's no argument here. But being a good speaker does not make you a good executive, or make your Administration worthy of re-election.
But most importantly it gets you re-elected against clowns like Gingrich or flip-flop make a gaffe every 5 minutes Romney. I suggest you go dormant until 2016, your Romney clowning is getting annoying. We all know no important change will happen until then anyway(unemployment will hover between 7-10%, and no policy changes).

I care about America, and I do not want what you describe to happen. George W. Bush did not deserve re-election, and neither does Barack Obama. The nation cannot go on like this. I honestly believe that Romney will take care of business in Washington, DC.

Obama just dinged Romney without mentioning his name...with the reference to not waiting for the housing market to "hit bottom"

You think Obama is ineffective? Watch Romney get his arse handed to him by a GOP congress on a daily-basis.

Find it and read it and you will see why I am outraged by your post. I addressed not only that but also the very tactic you employed here of creating a false choice of only two options and how it has contributed to public ignorance on this topic.

Nothing will change until 2016. Do I need to repeat that for you?
edit: Unless Romney gets a full mandate(less than 1% chance), and Romney gets an extra strong dose of tea, then we might see some riots.

I've got an idea! Let's keep the tax cuts and close the loopholes for everyone rather than just those making $1M+. Oh wait, we're talking about the US government. We aren't capable of that.

Obama clearly thinks the government is the solution to every problem when, in actuality, the government usually makes problems worse, or prevents problems from running their course. In fact, the government is sometimes even the primary source of some problems that they appear to have no association with (e.g., the Community Reinvestment Act and its role in laying the foundation for the sub-prime mortgage crisis). Sometimes good intentions can lead to unintended consequences. Sometimes a prescription will make you more sick than the illness.

I know we cannot go on like this. Furthermore, I know with 100% certainty that sticking with Obama is not going to change anything. Therefore, I will take my chances with Romney because at least I do not know with 100% certainty what will happen. Some chance of improvement is better than no chance of improvement.

President Obama delivers the 2012 State of the Union address to a Joint Session of Congress tonight at 9:00 pm ET/8:00 pm CT on all major networks.

COTU stands for "Campaign of the Union" Address as this will probably be just another Campaign speech for the President.

Can we sticky this for a few hours, please?

State of the Campaign, Bushie, State of the Campaign.
