Would like your feedback about my idea for debates.

There will be two or three "debates." Each debate I will give you 3 questions to answer (I was thinking 5 but that may be too many) and you will answer them sometime that "week." I'll rate your answers and whoever has the best out of the 3 gets a bump in the polls.

Best Answers - +3 national polls, +5 in state poll (where the debate occurs)
2nd Best Answers - +2 in national polls, +3 in state poll
3rd Best Answers - +1 national polls, +1 state poll
4th  - No change
5th  -1 national, -1 state
6th - -2 national, -3 state
7th/8th - -3 national, -5 state

Thoughts?

Not sure there should be a set percentage - good chance debates are just a wash.

I hope I was clear but the debate I posted is for everyone. I'll rate each candidates response grouped with other candidates from their own party.

You forgot me in National Polling. Smiley

I think we should consider slowing it down a bit - maybe 2 days for each week. This can be very difficult for those of us who have both work and school.

I agree.

I was happy about my early lead, but I don't know how that is now with Sandoval not being counted. Smiley

I also agree.

EDIT: Checked the thread, and noticed that I'd been left out of the national polls for this week, too.

Also, the paragraph on the Cap and Trade Bill doesn't make sense to me.

Sorry about missing you in national polling and the cap & trade paragraph. I have an excel document and trust me you're in there Smiley I was doing it a bit late at night. Regardless, its all fixed now.

Do you guys want to slow down? We can do "one week" is two days IRL if you'd like. How does that sound? Would make it easier on myself too since I have the same situation haha

Starting tomorrow (Saturday Feb 4) each "week" will be two of our calendar days, IRL.

So, Saturday and Sunday are November 3 through 9.

We all set?

Any requests? Polls, ideas, feedback, complaints? Anything? I'm just looking to make this better. I hope you've noticed that the past few "weeks" post quality and comprehensiveness has played a decisive (and fair) factor.

Would it be possible for each campaign to get one surrogate to campaign along with them, someone who would obviously be expected to endorse that candidate, likely because they'd be from the same state? Even if it's a smaller name, such as a Congressman.

For example: Scott Brown for Romney; Mike Pence for Mitch Daniels

Thanks Smiley

Governor Cuomo and I are unfortunately going to have to bow out of the race. I've loved participating, but RL is getting a bit too much, and I don't want to play if I can't give it my all. I'm a perfectionist that way. Wink

It's been a blast, I wish best of luck to my fellow candidates, and I think Cuomo is going to withhold an endorsement for now so as not to upset the balance of the race.

Thanks for running such a great game, Sirnick. I'll be following it. Smiley

Well, it seems as if the Democratic primary is all but over. Like Goldfield, I won't have the time to fully participate over the next few weeks, and I'd rather not half-ass it (especially if I'm going head-to-head with Gillibrand), so Rahm Emanuel will be withdrawing and endorsing Senator Gillibrand today.

I'll continue to follow the race, and I'm open to involvement in a less active role on behalf of whomever wins the Democratic nomination in the general.

Sirnick, you're doing a great job with this, and I hope that you decide to sponsor another game in the future so that I can play again when my personal life and career are more settled.

Thanks for playing guys, I appreciate it! Just make sure you end your campaign on the thread (I haven't looked at the most recent posts). I know how it is with being busy, I've been trying to get an update in there too haha

Is a late-entry on the Democrat side possible at this time?
