I will go for Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York.

He was reelected by a massive margin in 2014 over token opposition. While Republicans in the state oppose some of his reforms, he increasingly finds that his biggest battles are with the state's labor unions, the WFP, and the increasingly ambitious state legislature. He's beloved by centrists, not so much by liberal Democrats.

I always wanted to try one of these, but the field's quite crowded now. I'll sit this one out.
No, no, please join! The more the merrier Smiley

Who should I play as? Is there any sort of ideological void that needs filling?
A Joe Manchin Democrat or a "old guard" Republican (and by 2016, that could be Palin, Jeb Bush, Condi Rice, etc) could fit in well.

Yeah, those would be good picks. I'm playing Cuomo as the centrist candidate in the Democratic primary, but he's still a blue state governor who's socially liberal. There's definite room for a Manchin or a Schweitzer.

Sounds like a pretty good plan.

Governor Cuomo and I are unfortunately going to have to bow out of the race. I've loved participating, but RL is getting a bit too much, and I don't want to play if I can't give it my all. I'm a perfectionist that way. Wink

It's been a blast, I wish best of luck to my fellow candidates, and I think Cuomo is going to withhold an endorsement for now so as not to upset the balance of the race.

Thanks for running such a great game, Sirnick. I'll be following it. Smiley
