Morris Udall was not a cool Mormon. See my signature for some actually cool Mormons.

What happened, of course, is that with the end of the persecution period, and the beginning of what some people still consider the apostacy, Mormons tried to reintegrate into American society. Hard. With the result that some old scars only got papered over but are still there underneath as a collective trauma (which among other things amply explains Romney's vote shares in Deseret), and that Mormons adopted this freaky-nice persona, which for their current live descendants is part of their nature.

Eliza Dushku. Though she is not practicing and made kind of an odd comment about that (something like "I'm not religious at all, except when I'm on planes, I always carry a cross when I'm on a plane." Mormons don't use the cross symbol.)
