During an interview with CNN on Wednesday, Stein called Obama’s proposed 30 percent tax rate for millionaires “totally fair and it's absolutely necessary.”

“We're headed towards national default,” Stein said. “I mean, no candidate has told you from either party, but we're heading towards default … unless we raise taxes dramatically and cut spending. And raising taxes on people who have incomes of over a million dollars a year seems to me a fair way to start. I don't see any rational reason why people who have that much money should not pay a higher rate of tax. It would be nice if they could keep it, but it would be also nice if we could fly by flapping our wings.”

Where do they dig up these far-left, Keynesian, Saul Alinksyite, class warriors?  This "Stein" fellow must be some kind of European eco-socialist.

Clearly Stein has been co-opted by the radical, secular, anti-transformational machine.

Stein subscribes to the radical neo-socialist doctrines of Ronald Reagan.

Stein is afflicted by a severe case of common sense.  Draft his @$$ and put him on the ticket.  I don't care which party.  Just pick one.

Only if at the top of the ticket is Al Franken.

They already pay 35% on earned income, and will pay 39.6% if the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire. I assume they're talking about unearned income. There's no reason to tax unearned income at a lower rate than earned income. It was taxed at a higher rate in the '70s.

Stein is a class-warfare-agitator.

It's becoming terribly apparent that this "class-warfare" thing is only relevant if the classes are "some people in the GOP" and "everyone, and literally everyone, else". If they keep it up, we'll be seeing a Democratic dominant-party state by the end of the next decade. Seriously.

I haven't read the article, but I firmly support Simfan's efforts to blame Lena Dunham for our society's rot.

Simfan, your standards are impossible to meet. You can't have a girl who is also a large fireplace.

Okay, I'm not sure if you're playing along with the joke, or you don't actually know who Ben Stein is and/or what he believes in.

He's always seemed semi-reasonable on economic matters, too bad he's such a nut when it comes to social/religious/scientific/etc. issues.
