There are online sites to play risk if you are interested. I'm pretty damn good if I say so myself. 50%+1 of the time I either....
am the first to die
am the last to die
am the game winner
I have a very very strong mid-game

Mikado, I think you should feel free to set up a thread if you still feel like moderating.

Anything happening with this? I'd be willing to adjudicate. Life is fairly busy, but I don't mind helping out. I'd probably have to change the schedule I worked off last time... I was adjudicating on a Sunday (Melbourne time... so if you had your orders in by Friday night, wherever you were, you would have them in on time), but I may need to push back my adjudication times by 24 hours (and consequently, therefore, if you have your orders in before midnight Saturday, you'll have them in on time).
That said, life is quite busy so I'd prefer to let Mikado adjudicate. Just saying I'm willing if he'd prefer to play.

I've had a rough week, but I'm still on board for adjudicating. Once a week moves (with faster turns for retreat/build phases), I think.
Will put the thread up Saturday, probably.

OK, about to start the thread, but I need clarification on one thing: who are the final seven people that will be playing? There have been some withdrawals etc.

So, I'm seeing Yelnoc, Barnes, Belgian, Cynic, with Oakvale and ProgressiveRealist as probably playing. Who's my 7th?
I'm writing up a proper OP for this thread as Cynic hasn't played before so I want to lay out all of the rules and such.

Question: does this program's map look OK to you guys?
Again, assuming we have Belgian, Cynic, Yelnoc, Barnes, Oakvale, and Progressive Realist, we need one more.

The borders look fine by me, but might I ask for stronger color contrast? I'm about half-way color blind.

Unexperienced + Austria = Exitus.
Now by all means go and prove me wrong.
(That map is butt-ugly. What's the problem with Realpolitik?)

Depends on what you mean. Germany is one of the most favoured to win, but of course France, Turkey and England are among the safest as far as the opening rounds go.
Overall, I wouldn't count Germany as a hard country to get. Austria and Italy are the ones that really suck.
