Are there certain opinions that'll make you doubt a person's credibility on certain issues?

For example:
Anyone who says McDonalds is "gross" (and feels the same way about all fast food) loses all credibility in my mind on any food issue. If they told me such and such a food was good, I just would not listen, because I love McDonalds, and this person clearly does not 'get' what kind of food I like and dislike.

So do you have any of these?

McDonalds is gross. There are much better fast food joints to go to.

me:
the aforementioned McDonald's issue

Also with food, anyone who suggests that people *really do* have the time to do X and Y and Z.

People who really really like tattoos, I don't trust their opinion in girls.

People who talk about sex all the effing time, or, talk about girls like they are things - don't trust their opinion about girls.

People who listen to music with yelling and screaming in it - frankly I have a hard time trusting them on ANYTHING.

People who are not just super-religious, but are super-talky about it. - on anything.

People who are opposed to free-at-the-point-of-access healthcare for the poor - on morals and ethics

People who do not agree that everyone in the world has a duty to be "nice" to everyone else whenever possible - on morals and ethics

People who refer to something (TV show, music song) from 2005-2010 as "old" - opinion on those topics.

People who think animals are people - on animal rights

There's a guy I know who talks about women the same way you described it. I can't stand that.

Lying, cheating, being a douche, driving certain kinds of cars, owning Apple products, being from the Northeast, facial hair, last name ending in a vowel...the usual.

When opinions are stated as facts, it creates a credibility gap for me.

People who suggest they know what is best for other people outside of their family.

People who suggest that people need to be controlled/told what to do.

People who suggest they can spend my money better than I can.

Politicians who claim to be for the "working man" and "the poor."

Politicians who always claim that government is "the solution."

People who think that rich people deserve welfare more than poor people.

People who think that only governments can oppress Americans.

People who blindly state that government is universally the problem or the solution.

People who know so little about economics that they believe in the idea of "my money".

Also:

People who believe that the founders universally agreed and had a unified vision for America.

That's a massive pet peeve for me.

I doubt people's credibility when they:

never make demands on themselves, but only on others.
never find fault with themselves, but always blame others.
never try to understand others, demanding others understand them.
hate others whom they don't even know and were never wronged by.
say they care about truth but then only rely on slogans and stereotypes.

But, most importantly, when they don't like good beer and don't laugh much.

Saying "my income" to non-economists is awkward compared to "my money." Since we are not in the Economics forum, I used the latter rather than the technically correct terminology. If you want to have a dick measuring contest about economics, bring it on.

And yes, my income is my income, not yours. I essentially trade my time and skilled effort in exhange for goods/services/savings for me and my family, not you. We are not all in this together.
