I think that Thompson would win a very close race. And you know I know democrats like to refer to the anti Obama crowd as the "blame obama" bunch. Well, the democratic crowd seems to be the "blame the congress" bunch.
First of all, Thompson really isn't that popular anymore, while Feingold still is.
Second of all, it is objectively true that Congressional Republicans are more to blame for the still sluggish economy than Obama is.
