Speaking for myself, I wouldn't be comfortable on a forum that didn't ban a member who acts the way that Teddy did.

I don't think Afleitch said he was going to look up where you live and come over there and beat you up. And I doubt you said you were looking up Alcon's personal info to go assault him or whatever. Tempers do flash sometimes, which is why I asked for restraint from the mods but in this case they were right.

Of course they could have diffused the situation long ago by taking appropriate action against Joe.....but I guess what's done is done.

well, obviously the mods aren't going to back down on this Teddy incident, and I'm not really asking them to do so...I just hope they understand we're human and we do lose our temper now and then, but in the end, it usually works out for the good.

And, just for the record, I hold nothing against Andrew for that PM, I'm sure several members could dig up several posts of mine that are far worse.

This was definitely a ban worthy offense, no doubt, but I hope Teddy gets better.  I really do.

It should be noted that it was the specific nature of the threat that pushed this over the edge. There's a big difference between saying you'd assault someone who lives half way around the world if you happened to meet them on the street as opposed to actually indicating a plan of action to carry out the threat.
