Polling caucuses remains very difficult.

Imagine how we'd all be reacting to Santorum's three victories if PPP hadn't done any of these polls, and we had zero polling going into these three states.

Exactly. I give them credit for being the only major pollster to tackle these races.

I think PPP did fine in CO. They caught the Santorum surge as it was happening, and may even have contributed to his victory by showing Santorum as being viable in CO.

PPP just tweeted that all the results they have released today are from Friday and today combined, meaning that today's sample was very pro-Santorum.

I think this right here was about our only clue this would happen.

I remain convinced that PPP does excellent work.  I feel a bit bad for them, as they catch a lot of undeserved sh** from Paultards.

I'm a big fan of PPP.  They take risks, they're highly transparent, and they want to be useful beyond simply making a profit.  I think they were also victims of chronology here, even if they wouldn't have done that great no matter what.  I don't have any beef with them.

While their numbers might not have been accurate, 1) races like this are almost impossible to poll accurately and 2) they still got the larger trends correct.
