Does Romney have a serious shot at winning St. Louis County (MN)? Otherwise I don't know where he's going to win in Minnesota. I know there are a lot of counties out, but Santorum seems to be winning in areas I'd have pegged to go to Romney

With the way he's doing in the rest of the state, no he's not winning St. Louis.

Really? I'm seeing Hennepin with 35-30 on CNN. St. Paul's the only county with a substantial count that he's behind in MN.

Based on the MN SOS's site, that's all suburbs.

Oh, that was so few votes, I figured it couldn't be 11%. Well, when you have 76 precincts statewide, turnout is going to be pathetic.

My precinct

Romney 13
Santorum 8
Gingrich 4

Romney got half the vote in 08. Slightly higher turnout this year. CO GOP is set up to support Romney.  Our captains, chosen by the party beforehand, are now automatically state delegates (the ones who vote for the national delegates).

Ok, I've mostly been ignoring politics after Florida. WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST WEEK?  How could this happen? Did Mitt get caught eating a baby or something?

Santorum is giving a brilliant intro.  He's doing everything possible to show he's a real human being with emotions and setting the contrast to Romney.

Mitt Romney didn't spend $20 million in those states. That's what happened.

Are insiders saying that Romney will still win Colorado?

Hard to say. He's underperforming in most counties compared to 08.

He's already tied one county with Paul here. I'm not sure if he can pull ahead in Ramsey, he might fall behind in Winona, I bet he loses Blue Earth (my college county, Paul 2008 county) and based on what's out he might lose Hennepin to Paul too.

When Mitt Romney doesn't spend millions of dollars on a state, he loses in a landslide.

wait for Jefferson, El Paso, and Pueblo. Romney went below 50% in Douglas and he got 70% in 08 and that's a big county.

I root for Santorum tonight for political junkie reasons... and then he starts talking and I remember why I hate each and every one of these little weasels with the "R" next to their name.

When Mitt Romney doesn't spend millions of dollars on a state, he loses in a landslide.

And his opposition hasn't been able to match. Obama will match him dollar for dollar with change in the general. This guy is toast.

Hopefully, Mittens can pull off a narrow Colorado win.  We've got to have some sense of normalcy, can't we.

Lesson learned from tonight regardless of outcome in Colorado: We're just getting started, folks. Smiley

Paul's won Red Lake as well.
