I'd let Politico have that one. For his many faults, Mitt Romney does have good hair.

Romney has lost just as many races in his lifetime as Reagan did: Two.

And Santorum has lost only one after winning four (two of which were statewide contests).

Yeah, and he lost to a bald guy by 40 points.

Yeah, and Mitt ran to the left of Teddy Kennedy, and lost in one of the most republican years ever.
Mitt lost to an elderly, moderate Republican Senator in 2008.

Phil is OUTRAGED that anyone would DARE claim that Santorum lost to a bald man. It is absolutely imperative that we realize that Santorum lost to a hairy man. He's a fan of getting into arguments about this sort of thing.

Hilariously ironic that Politico called Casey bald when he has has more hair (unibrow, baby) than normal though he is balding.

He is definitely balding. To such a degree that my recollection was of him being bald. Santorum lost by 40 points to a guy who is balding but less bald than Homer Simpson. I will give you that.

Yeah...

Let's see...

58.6% to 41.3%

You call that "40 points?"

But hey, that can't be bad. After all, it's roughly the same margin Mitt lost to Kennedy in 1994 Smiley

The condition of Bob Casey's hairline is an extremely important factor in determining how embarrassing Rick Santorum's defeat to him was.

How did you get to 30,000 posts without participating in margin inflation with regards to Santorum's loss?

Christine O'Donnell has also lost the magical twice.  I smell running mate!

Honestly I'd be willing to consider a bet on him losing Virginia to Paul at this point. It wouldn't be any less embarrassing than many of his previous defeats.

I'd take that bet. Heck, I'd be willing to bet that Paul doesn't break 30% in Virginia.

you really shouldn't bet then bro.

Romney is like an NFL team that goes 9-7 but was good the previous year and has a solid run game and a good defense and a borderline Hall-of-Fame head coach, so you expect them to perform when the chips or down, or something.  he transcends his 1-2 career record.

I'd said I'd be willing to consider a bet, not take any one. If Paul was trading at like 15% to win Virginia on InTrade (I haven't checked the actual numbers) I would definitely be willing to buy that. If it was like 20s or 30s, probably not.

The way he was crushed in Missouri is arguably a bigger upset than Virginia to Paul would be, even if the former was meaningless.

Colorado is a bigger loss. Last time it was his best state other than Utah, and he won it by 42 points.
