I wonder just how much Mitt Romney is going to put into trying to assassinate Santorum's character, and what he'd use to do it. I don't think Santorum's nearly as vulnerable to negative advertising as Gingrich.
How do you assassinate a dead man?

So with the margin of error Romney could be in 3rd.

Santorum is flavor of the month again, I see.

It appears we all have to get behind Rick Santorum and hold on tight. We're for one helluva a ride, but I know Rick will push hard and squeeze through his troubles to beat his opponents.

My primary interest in the 2012 GOP primaries has been a desire to see Mitt Romney humiliated and derailed, so like most of the rest of you I'm rooting for Santorum, though writing that makes me sick to my stomach.

And that makes 11 Republicans that have led a national poll at one point or another! And that makes the 2012 GOP a record holder!

They should probably find themselves some group of similarly illmatched misfits and play a football match.

These Republican polls have become a total joke.  How do you go from Cain to Gingrich to Santorum in a matter of weeks.  A few thousand people in three states vote for Santorum and now millions of lemmings all of a sudden say he is their top pick?!

That's how it works.  See, e.g., John Kerry's national polling numbers before and after Iowa in 2004.
