Whitney Houston's death is bad news for Romney, I think. Because it will overshadow his news of barely beating Paul in Maine

Oh wow. What happened to her, I wonder. Probably drugs or suicide, I presume. I thought she was older than 48.

Obviously this is one of those things you cannot control nor influence. It will hurt the narrative a bit, but not that much among those who are following the race closely (e.g., Michigan and Arizona voters)...

I still think her cover of "I Will Always Love You" is one of the best love songs of the past twenty years, but it's kind of amusing how Kevin Costner's career after The Bodyguard followed the trajectory of Gingrich's campaign after winning South Carolina...

Why would his barely beating Paul in Maine be something Romney would want people to know?

Romney got over twice as many votes as Santorum, and four or five times as many votes as Gingrich, so that's something to talk about...

The fact that 2,100 Maine-iacs showed up to vote for him is cause for celebration! What an electoral genius he is...

We'll just discount the fact that last week he lost Missouri by 75,000 votes, Minnesota by 13,000, and Colorado by 3,000

But I know what you're going to say, yes of course Maine is a swing state and those three aren't...

....oh wait...

We can only compare 2012 to 2012. We cannot compare it to 2008. And in 2012, Romney destroyed Santorum in Maine.

We can only compare 2012 to 2012. We cannot compare it to 2008.

In a sense that's true.  Romney was a completely different politician back then.

Then what would you describe Missouri and Minnesota as? Somehow, I bet those contests are "different" in your opinion.

If you want to be happy that your boy's union stooges helped covertly organize "Operation Backdoor" in Missouri and Minnesota, be my guest.

Actually, Romney may benefit from this. The airwaves and tributes are being saturated by Houston's greatest hits. Who could forget that 1987 classic...

Oh I wanna dance with Mitt Romney
I wanna feel the heat with Mitt Romney
Yeah I wanna dance with Mitt Romney
With Willard Milton Romney!

How many Romney votes in Colorado were dumped into Arikaree River?
