"You win some, you lose some. Tonight we won Arizona and contested well in Michigan. I'm proud of what we were able to accomplish tonight. Now on to Washington!"

"We did absolutely phenomenal tonight! Thank you all so much for helping me win the great state of Michigan as well as come in second in the great state of Arizona. Together, we can win this thing and go on to defeat President Obama!"

"I'd like to congratulate Governor Romney and Senator Santorum on their victories in Michigan and Arizona tonight. They fought hard and got well deserved victories. By no means are we out of this though...I have faith that we can win this one!

"We fought hard tonight and had some pretty good finished. We're gonna fight hard in Washington and we're gonna fight hard until it's over. Mark my words: the Revolution is alive and well!"

Remember that Michigan and Arizona lost half of their delegates.

F**k. The Atlas has it listed incorrectly then.

Why would Mitt win Ohio if he couldn't win Michigan?

None of these polls are final results. I'll be posting another update tonight.

Following the race, Newt Gingrich made the following speech:

"I am announcing today that I am dropping out of the race for President of the United States and endorsing Rick Santorum for President. Senator Santorum is a true fighter for Conservative values and would make a fantastic President. I gave this race my all, but I couldn't win. Thank you all for your support.

August 2nd 2012

CNN News Report:

Rumors are flying that Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and South Dakota Senator John Thune are being considered as potential "compromise" candidates for the 2012 Republican Nomination. The GOP's convention, which will be held later this month in Tampa, Florida, is set to be a "brokered"convention because none of the three remaining candidates met the required amount of delegates during the primary season. When asked if he'd accept the GOP's nomination for President, Governor Christie said "It's something I'm considering, but if I were asked today, my answer would be no. I want to serve a full term as Governor of New Jersey and unless the party desperately needs me, I'm going to sit this one out." We also spoke to Senator John Thune, who said "I'm warming up to the idea, but I don't think I have what it takes to win the election. I mean, President Obama is a word master. He has a loyal and faithful base and I just don't think I could pry that base from him. But I'd accept if the party needed me." Governor Mitch Daniels could not be reached for comment.

Heres a interesting compromise candidate-------General Petraeus.

I considered Patraeus, Mike Huckabee, Rudy Giuliani, Jim DeMint and Scott Walker as other compromise candidates Wink

Wait, they all abandoned their candidates? Or is this a pre convention rumor?

Daniels spoke at the GOP convention the previous day and proclaimed that he would accept the party's nomination.

However, this headline is just a rumor...for now Wink
