LOL!

I didn't make that connection. Rick always has a lot of fun with his ads.

It reminds me of the boxing ad from 2006.

It reminds me of the boxing ad from 2006.

It was a wrestling ad. Wink

This reminds me of every bizarre 2006 ad he ran and, again, I'm amused.

For a second, I thought it was Rick Perry playing Romney.

Also, it looks like Romney got a little dirty after messing with Santorum. It's okay, Rick left his mark.

Does anyone think the mud-santorum link was intentional?

That's why my post was what it was. I honestly think that Rick Santorum is a very successful and relatively good-natured troll at this point in his life and career.

The ad is good, but I don't necessarily think he's a "great look alike"... it took me a while to make that connection.  When I first saw the ad, I thought it was just supposed to be a GOP establishment character slinging mud at Santorum.

Romney laughed off the ad Wednesday on Fox News, calling it “pretty good.”

“That’s the nature of politics, which is you always accuse the other guy of what you’ve done yourself,” he said. “My campaign hasn’t run any negative ads against Rick Santorum ... I’m not saying we won’t finally go after the guy, but frankly, he’s been going after me.”

Now THAT is one class act!

And the truth too!

Yeah, for a given value of 'truth' that doesn't take the effects of certain Supreme Court decisions we could name into account.

My campaign hasn’t run any negative ads

Restore Our Future is defined as a pro-Romney PAC, almost always its first descriptor. While Romney and his campaign manager may not have coordinated overtly, to say that a PAC whose primary purpose is supporting Mitt Romney is not part of the Romney campaign is indeed dishonest.

Great ad!

Yes, only left wing candidates can say they've been the target of mud slinging!

It's more that the Right has nothing to offer America but victimization. It's tired and stale. Make you case for something. Say that if we just cut Mitt Romney's taxes enough, he'll hire some people. Not that that makes any sense, but I believe that's GOP gospel

Ok, so it seems like we're throwing out the "GOP'S EXTREMIST AGENDA!" talking points because that's getting boring and just saying that Republicans only play the victim card (as in that's literally all they do).

Even if it is, I doubt that it's a fruitful tack for Romney to take. In the minds of voters, "Mitt Romney" is synonymous with "rich guy who suffocates his opponents in ungodly amounts of negative advertising."

His was a screed about a political party. Yours was primarily against him personally. Most of your posts, when challenged, are. Consistently as rain in April for 5 years now.

Smiley-face emoticons make such posts no less predictable, and certainly no less unpleasant.

The Romney actor looks very Nixonian in that. Very good casting.
