Everything is the same as OTL except Hiram Johnson is the Progressive nominee rather than La Follette.  Does he do better or worse, who does he pick for VP, etc.

Johnson nominates La Follette  as his running mate allowing the Progressives to keep Wisconsin while Johnson brings in his home state of California as well as some Western States which were close originally in Montana, Nevada and North Dakota.

The only thing I could possibly think of which could enable the outcome to change with regards to a Progressive running in 1924 would be if Teddy Roosevelt survived and ran as a Progressive again.

Though he would probably run as a Republican, and in 1920.
