I am taking a poll on facebook, as well, so I'm gathering responses from different sources.

I am turning 30 years old in 72 days 23 hours on Sunday, April 29, 2012.  I need suggestions of what to do.

I'm trying to think of something that I've never done before or something I haven't done in a long time.

The criteria are:

1) It can't be too expensive, since I'm investing a lot going to Kenya.
2) It has to happen on the weekend with no time off work required.
3) It can't be anything illegal

Drive up to Kansas, look at some water towers.  Maybe take a photo of a cow.  You know, go nuts.

I've driven up to Kansas, I've looked at water towers. Cows are smelly. Go nuts? Been there, still there. Wink

That violates criteria #1 - (it can't be too expensive)...

I have decided through the night, that going to Africa is a pretty good thing I've never done.  That is my 30th birthday present, even though I'm leaving a little more than 6 weeks before my birthday.  That Sunday afternoon after church, my parents are taking me to Outback Steakhouse to celebrate.  I've only been to an Outback once in Atlanta in 2008, and I don't think they've ever been, so it'll be a neat experience. I've been to Outback before, and it certainly isn't 30th birthday worthy! Surely there are better ideas than that!

Around the corner?  AROUND THE CORNER?Huh?   If it weren't for Kenya and focusing a lot of attention on that, I would be starting the preparation for the 4th of July NOW!!!!! or at least Memorial Day and Father's Day!
