The only real blank spot on the wiki is this year. The only change that I can recall from that period that is remotely connected to this was the change in registration requirements for the upteenth time.

Entirely possible. Like Yankee said, the Wiki has been a disaster in the last year or so.

I support reducing it to 15, for the record, if it isn't, anyway. I certainly hope we can count Fritz's vote. Tongue

There is nobody responsible of updating the wiki, like the AG was responsible for at a moment?

People can't get access. I've tried about seven times. I have even tried asking Nym.

I must apologize for the confusion about activity requirements. I myself thought the requirement was 15 posts in 8 weeks until I was informed otherwise during the election - not the first time I've had bad information from the Wiki. If the "Anti-Zombie Act" is still in effect, then I must enforce and uphold the law, ballot language notwithstanding. There is not much of a remedy I can provide here if it requires me to violate that law.

At least in this election, counting Fritz's and Reginald's votes or not counting them doesn't change the outcome any. (I think?)

Well, from what I can tell, counting my vote would not change the election.  So a lawsuit is a rather moot point.  Tongue  I do hope this Draconian Anti-Zombie law gets repealed.  I am no zombie, I'm a former President for chrissake, and I was on vacation almost the entire month of July.

I assume this means 25 posts on the forum as a whole, not just posts in the Atlasia forum?

Is that correct?  Someone please clarify.

Correct.

OK.  Thank you.  Nevertheless, I believe anyone properly registered in Atlasia should be allowed to participate in elections regardless of posts made.  In a democracy, the right to vote should be based on citizenship, not on how active they have been in the community.

Well, if you think that, lobby a Senator to make him introduce that in Senate. The 25 posts requirement was introduced at the time of the zombie voters and intense partisanship, where all voters were following the party line and elections decided by who was able to recruit the most possible on other sites. It was needed, then, and it passed in Senate with unanimity.

I would be more than willing to relax these requirements, as the Fritz example shows us that it can be counterproductive. Fritz is not someone any of us would consider a zombie.

Perhaps a solution might be keeping the requirment but waiving it for all posters with over 250/500/1000 posts.

SoFE homelycooking,

A vacancy has resulting in an At-Large Senate seat, as a result of the resignation of Senator Clarence earlier.

Regards;
Senator NC Yankee,
President Pro-Tempore.

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually don't like these formalities. Tongue

Because I made a mistake. He's on the ballot now.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any legal remedy for those who have already voted...

If I may make a query, how long does one have to be a citizen before one may vote in an election?
