I have no way of knowing if the section of CESRA applying to votes ineligibly cast in regional Senate elections applies to solarstorm's case because he deleted his first ballot. No one seems to have a quote or a screenshot of it. CESRA requires me to determine if he "explicitly" cast his original vote in a Senate race for which he is not qualified to vote, which I can't do without access to the original text of his ballot.

It's my 1,000th day in office as SoFE, and what better time than now to announce that we'll be having a special election to fill Lumine's seat in the Senate? The following have declared their candidacies, though the deadline for declarations isn't until the end of the day on Wednesday.

Bacon King - The People's Party
Cris - Federalist Party
Maxwell - Democratic-Republican Party
Poirot - independent
rpryor03 - National Party
SomebodyWhoExists - Labor Party

Hello homely,
Dr Cynic will probably soon retire (GM appointment)
Will the election for his seat be held at the same time?

Feedback on the new ballot design? I thought that Teddy's old format needed a makeover.

I like it better than his design, shorter and more to the point.

My count says 61-60. Well, you've been SoFE for quite a time, sure you'll figure out the actual result and we'll see Smiley

My count also diverged at some point Saturday night and has been off by one ever since. But I will defer to to homely, though we should try to make sure we get the numbers right.

I was/am away from home and therefore didn't have my spreadsheet with me, but before I saw homely's numbers I had two estimates (61-58 BK & 62-59 BK), so in either case, I'm fairly confident in SoFE's numbers (or at the very least, that BK won by 3).

Sometimes a discrepancy results from counting a ballot immediately after it's posted and not noticing if it's edited 45 seconds later. I'm double checking everything right now - results should be certified in an hour or so.
