End of Sunday, 72 hours after the voting started. Unless I'm mistaken, federal elections are all Friday-Saturday-Sunday.

Rules question: a vote for a candidate is still valid if the party's wrong, correct? Because, unlike what Hatman said in his vote, Truman isn't a Federalist, last I checked.

Correct. I'll still count the vote, though I wish he would have checked his ballot over before posting.

Turnout was 52.2%, the lowest for any general election since I started administering elections in 2011, and down 20% from April's at-large Senate election.

Edit: I was wrong - the April 2012 at-large Senate election had very slightly lower turnout.

Yea, for some reason I thought April 2012 was higher then it was until I looked at it and was like, god that's low. That was the first At-Large election post party dissolution, which saw a lot of voters drop out of the game on both sides. And At-Large elections are largely driven by party organizations (cough bgwah cough).

We anticipated about 17 more voters overall.

The special election a week or two back had a turnout of 39% I think, so there's that.

Like apparently half the electorate, I did not see the point in bothering to vote when the results were obvious in advance.

Actually the results were not obvious at all. Of the three, any two of Truman, Evergreen or JoMCar could have made it in with just some minor shifts. The difference between Truman and Evergreen was like two votes. Also Cris' success rested far more on indy appeal then any other factor, even more so then I figured on because his base fractured. Some of those indies I figured on going to other candidates like Truman or even Evergreen. Truman was also able to win a write-in bid without a major party backing him. The last two times that happened was with thE JCP with BRTD in August 2011 and the RPP With SPC way back in December 2008.

It was a much better balance of merit based voting and yet not repeating April where so many dilluted their own votes by firsting people who were way over the highest quota ever achieved in Atlasian History (like 23 I think). They may in fact have been the best candidate, but if your first pref guy has 23+ first prefs, its way past time to first your second preference choice or even third to get them up within range of winning. Otherwise you are just giving said second pref candidate a decimal point instead of a whole vote.

I'd like to remember to party leaders that they should register as progressive, conservative or moderate and that the deadline is early tomorrow.

With the unfortunate judicial trolling of the past day against the office of Registrar General and the subsequent requirement that I close all operations to the public - including access to the Census Bureau's registered voters list - until there is a resolution, I ask the Department of Federal Elections to delay certification of the constitutional convention delegation election results until such time as the office of Registrar General and the Department of Federal Elections are both able to publish once again and verify the eligibility status of each voter who casts a ballot.

Absolutely not. The Convention started on the 21th and we should work immediately.

But a relatively good turnout in the Midwest. Who would've expected it to have twice as many voters as the Mideast?

Mr. SoFE,

At-Large Senator Kalwejt deregistered from the game and so there is a vacant seat in the Atlasian Senate.

Best regards,
Speaker Cris.
