Are you saying he's not a legitimate human being? His lawyer will be calling your lawyer on the grounds that this is hate speech.

We're saying he was born in Kenya.

Why does it seem that people only give half a s**t about this game when we have elections?  I find that disappointing. :/

My condolences. You could run to fill the vacancy that Wormy will leave in the Northeast Assembly...

This is true.

The left currently needs someone to run for the vacant Assembly seat and the Governor's Mansion (that is, assuming Napoleon will not run for reelection).  You have experience in both positions.  Please at least consider your options before discounting anything.

If nobody declares and nobody accepts write-in votes, does the Senate proceed without a Senator?

My guess is someone would be appointed by the Governor.

He said he didn't want another term and (I think) stepped down.

So the Lieutenant Governor is presumably the Governor, now?  If not, then a special election must be held ASAP.

EDIT: According to the Midwest Constitution:

Though I'm not sure where he said he's stepping down...

Endorsements:

I wrote in Antonio.

Alright, with all three members voting, I'm calling it that, because the average preferences show a tie between Napoleon and Oakvale, that we will be holding a runoff for the party's endorsement.

The following candidates are endorsed by the Atlasian Society of Righteous and Harmonious Fists:

Northeast Senate:

Scott

IDS Senate:

NC Yankee

Mideast Senate:

Benconstine

Midwest Senate:

Redalgo

Pacific Senate:

Sbane

Members, please cast your vote for the runoff endorsement for President:

[ ] Oakvale/Cincinnatus
[ ] Napoleon/Kalwejt

With three votes to zero, Redalgo wins the Liberal Party's endorsement.

As a result of our vote the official Imperial Bloc ticket is as follows:

President: Clarence/Yelnoc
Imperial Senator: NC Yankee
Mideast Senator: Ben

Emperor: PiT
IDS Legislators: Jbrase & Mechaman

----------------
I suggest we use the rest of our time to express our anger at the IDS being invaded by federal agents and the IDS Capitol in Memphis being occupied.

Peeperkorn's vote is invalid because he doesn't meet activity requirements (i.e. he posted too rarely in the last 8 weeks).

Which law invalidates voters who posted "too rarely" in the last eight weeks?  The Constitution specifies that he had to have voted in the past six months, which he did.

Really? I had a brief look at other votes and they all seemed valid to me. Granted, this was a brief look and not a very close one. (8 weeks prior to the election means that the time around mid-April is relevant).

Lief, angus, MasterSanders, etc. just to name a few.  If this law is still actually in place and hasn't been updated recently, then official turnout is much lower than previously thought.

The law is still in place. For example, it has had a major impact on the last Senate at-large election as can be seen in this thread:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=152529.0

And none of the guys you mentioned does not meet these activity requirements; they all had way more than 25 posts during the 8 weeks prior to the commencement of this election (posts can be made anywhere on this forum, not only on the Atlasia subboards). On the other hand, Peeperkorn's case is pretty clear.

Very well, then- if that is how the law is interpreted, then they are valid.

How could anyone not know about the minimum posting requirements to vote? Especially a former JCPer? Tongue

I had assumed those were all in the Constitution.

Why is my second preference for Oakdale/Napoleon not counted.?

The Oakvale/Napoleon ticket is not a declared candidate.

But Tweed can have three runningmates who's declared status can be disputed?

What do you mean?

Is Napoleon's Senate vote valid even though he changed regions?
