What do the finances look like these days, anyway? Is Romney capable of still buying Michigan, Ohio and co.?

The only thing that can stop Santorum in Ohio now is a John Kasich endorsement.

I think they're friends so Rick might want to tell him to be quiet. That being said, I think Kasich is at least popular with the OH GOP base.

If Gingrich dropped out, this race would be over.

I would be considered the GOP base.. and I don't like John Kasich... no one should be hoping for an endorsement from him this year.

I think it's safe to say that Santorum must also be up by at least 10 in Indiana and Wisconsin, might be winning Illinois, and is totally going to win PA by at least 15.

He should be up here by more than that but 1) the establishment is with Romney and 2) our primary is meaningless. Direct election of delegates is what matters.

Reasonably so, yes. Enough an endorsement would help more than hurt, ESPECIALLY for an outsider like Santorum.

Come to think of it, it'd probably be a huge enough boost for Santorum to get that kind of insider clout that even the super PAC death star prbably couldn't save him.

With all respect to the Buckeye State GOP posters before, Santorum's biggest hinderence is the OH GOP, even compared to other states, does NOT like insurgent candidates. insider support is SO crucial here, and Santorum currently has none.

I don't like Kasich either. His endorsement would be nothing but a turn-off. Not to say he's in Bob Taft territory either, he's not that bad of a governor. I would probably even say I approve of his performance. But I certainly don't like him.

Correct.

http://www.cantonrep.com/news/x1882853269/Ohio-to-choose-66-delegates-for-Republican-National-Convention

Republicans in Ohio get to vote twice for President in their primary, once for a slate of statewide delegates and once for a slate of Congressional District delegates.

That will affect his delegate totals, but not his vote percentage statewide.
