I would be considered the GOP base.. and I don't like John Kasich... no one should be hoping for an endorsement from him this year.
The only thing that can stop Santorum in Ohio now is a John Kasich endorsement.
I think they're friends so Rick might want to tell him to be quiet. That being said, I think Kasich is at least popular with the OH GOP base.

I don't like Kasich either. His endorsement would be nothing but a turn-off. Not to say he's in Bob Taft territory either, he's not
that bad of a governor. I would probably even say I approve of his performance. But I certainly don't like him.
