I as a rule do not believe in the need for forum moderation barring serial spamming (like the ABCDEF troll), protecting against legal issues like copyright infringement for copying or pasting an article, and the use of a filter for profanity (if this is desired: plenty of message board I have been on permitted the F-bomb).  if I were running this forum I would probably hide the Forum Community and Off-topic boards from the eyes of non-members (and from Google Indexing if possible).

Strangely enough we don't. We take our cue from upholding the Terms of Service and the moderation decisions made by Dave Leip in the past prior to him taking a hands off approach. We also slap down trolls. And they come in different shapes and sizes.

Tweed, obviously, it's by design.  In fact, just check the title of this thread - as if it wasn’t enough to try to kill our brain cells by only allowing us to read the random thoughts of BRTD and Naso and infracting everything else…now they’ve taken it to the next level by using those two to sand-bag our new Mod team…

…In fact, now that I think about it, you and the opebo aren’t exactly high draft choices either...but, that’s ok, when we conquer the forum, we’ll moderate separate boards.
