What's hilarious is the unsurprising fact that the Obama campaign is the first in history to have their own "official album." It's kind of like how Nero played the fiddle while Rome burned...

It's really not like that at all.

McCain, if memory serves, got into some minor trouble for using a John Mellencamp song (Mellencamp is VERY left-wing) last time around.

Don't Democrats do the same with songs by conservative leaning musicians?

I'm not familiar with any conservative-leaning musicians who have been used in such way.

Was it "Pink Houses"? If so that's hilarious since that is so not a patriotic song, it's funny Republicans use songs like that without paying any attention to the lyrics beyond a few lines in the chorus (much like "Born in the USA")

It was indeed 'Pink Houses'.
