Not happy at all about the prospect.  I stay here because I like how relatively civil political discourse is on this forum.  I strongly doubt we would be helped by having either the undesirables of the left or the right contaminating this forum with the vitriol I see too much of in real life.

I dislike Daily Kos, but at least I don't feel like I'm sinning whenever I cross their website.

I'd leave.  Never heard of Free Republic.  I used to not mind DK (they do have a lot of polling sponsorships) until I caught the founder in some blatant lies on Twitter with regards to voter turnout.

I haven't been on DU much other than if I'm Googling something, but they can be pretty hackish.

Free Republic is one of the few big sites more primitive graphically than Atlas is.  (Of course, the ultimate in graphically-primitive sites is Drudge)
