Gingrich.  It's quite obvious all four are terrible and the two in the center lose every time.

The media picks that, as of now no one 'won'. Santorum saying he doesn't want the federal government to do anything to stop the secularist culture ("that's what they do") shifted me from probably-Johnson to probably-Santorum in the general election, as my fear that he would do something was what kept me a Santorum skeptic.

Romney was winning for a while but absolutely floundered and bombed towards the end without even having to make any major gaffes.

So when Santorum falls, does Newt make his next rise?

i dont think anyone won. I think Romney was buoyed by the audience. I bet his organization got a lot of supporters into the crowd.

Rick faltered a bit and was too Senatorial, but had some good shots.

Gingrich held his own and might slow his bleeding.

In a sense, nobody increased their chances of winning so Romney won.

But Paul burned Santorum real good...capstone of his political career?  It's like giving Best Picture to Return of the King, you just gotta do it.

So we have the last supposed debate, and I have to ask, how much Santorum did Santorum receive after that performance.

Romney's last answer though - dear God...  Fortunately, those voting for him wouldn't their mind on him even if he revealed to having a couple of wives on the side.

So, Newt won, by a good bit.  I expect him to gain 15 points over the next couple of weeks...  Tongue

I think Romney won because he was able to defend himself from attacks effectively and was aggressive against Santorum. I couldn't help but notice Paul spent the night attacking Rick, now I'm officially convinced he is working in cahoots with Mitt for influence at the convention.
