and obviously I will need a significant level of domestic support (the floor would probably be the Bolsheviks-1917, at 25%) to get anywhere with my programme, so ultimately the power lies with you, the citizen.

Who is Mr. Tweed?
And who are his supporters?
Lets answer this questions.

1) Tweed - dangerous bolshevik, who now if elected, will take away our essential liberties.

glad to hear it, Phil.  Marxism-Leninism-Tweedism (also known as Marxism-Leninism with Atlasian Characteristics or Boss Tweed Thought) is a systematic fusion of the reactionary-cultural with the revolutionary-political, destined to bring many into the fold.

"It is true that liberty is precious; so precious that it must be carefully rationed."  --Lenin

2) His main supporters are:
20RP12 - "Libertarian" who accepted SoIA job in the Polnut administration.
Bgwah - formerly powerhunger liberal "Lion" of the Senate who now will try to use his influence to in the Supreme Court.
When will you announce me as your running mate?
Citizens! If you want to save our country from the dangerous socialist ideology who killed 100+ millions innocent people, and if you don't want your children to be slaves of the main Tweed supporters - corporations and left radicals

Sorry Pingvin, you still don't get to go to re-education camp with all of your friends. We plan to keep you around as token opposition we know nobody will take seriously to maintain the illusion of democracy.

thanks for the free media bro.

as for an actual update, I do have a few ideas floating in my head on a potential short essay.  no release date at the moment but it shouldn't be too long.

Essays?  Man...

That's school stuff.  Atlasia is supposed to, I dunno, at least pretend to be a fun form of escapism.  Just make another video!

using the term 'essay' lightly.  it'll resemble my post on page no. 5.

my basic idea here is this. increasingly the Atlasia simulation has become remote from the community at-large.  even Young Tweed, who is running for president now and will win, has absolutely no idea what has gone on here since, say, 2007.  moreover, this is the norm.

contrast this to the situation in February 2004, the heated and spirited first-ever contest between Nym90 and the defunct Supersoulty.  this was a community affair that nearly every regular poster (save, perhaps, jmfcst) was conscious of or even invested in.  and when bullmoose88 (Heil Hitler?  never was clarified... probably was just born in 1988) cast his ballot for Nym, tipping the balance of the election to our esteemed first president, 11+year member, and Modadmin, it was important not because bullmoose was a Republican crossing lines, but because it was bullmoose, and we knew who he was, and he had cast the deciding vote.

so, what am I proposing?  a conscious and spirited re-interweaving of Atlasia and the community.  let's stop wasting so much time using our mock state apparatus to debate absolutely pointless and absurd 'Atlasia-Co-Operative Republic of Guyana Free Trade Act's, and more in using the government sim as a genuine expression of the culture and social relations of the community...

...for instance, imagine an Atlasian politicization of the Inks-Deluge crisis?  perhaps if it were the job of Atlasia to pass a resolution taking an official stand on this, to express the general will of the community on a topic that I would venture to say has tapped into more passion in the past few days than this stupid and dead game has in years, the simulation would once again mean something.  there would be skin in the game.

I have bolded the most important parts for you ADD / substandard IQ cases, but realize that only when you read the whole thing can you contemplate its true meaning... the hard work that leads us to the luminous summits of knowledge, if I can very roughly paraphrase Marx.

So Atlasia as something more like, I don't know, a Student Council, where we can debate Forum issues in a way that the administration can see, rather than a separate game of its own?

Tweed- this seems like a good call...no one here much cares if their bill passes in the Senate because it won't have an affect- if you have influence over something no matter how small people will care. You should've seen the contested elections in the Homeowners Association!

and btw your silly new Party is as guilty of what I decry as any other.  debating the distribution of progressive income tax brackets.  real consequential stuff for a message board sim bro.  start practicing what you preach.
