since Nappy has drawn up a fictional 'tour', I will too.

May 7: campaign kickoff in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  guest speaker: Art Laffer

May 9: Denton, Texas.  Teenage Cool Kids will be performing

May 11: will be meeting up with bgwah at an undisclosed location in King County.  then after that we will buy a cheap megaphone and scream things at the site of the old Kingdome.  guest speaker: Dean Logan

you get the idea

Why is Art Laffer speaking on behalf of a candidate of the CPoA (M-L-T)? Wasn't he a Reagan-area economist who pretty much invented supply-side economics?

Did you not notice he is starting his campaign in Philadelphia, MS like Ronald Reagan did. The city was where three civil rights workers were murdered in 1964. Pure coincidence, surely. Roll Eyes Can't have a campaign without visiting some backwater village of 7,000 people in Mississippi.

I did notice something of that sort, but he's also going to the eleventh largest city in the Ft. Worth area and part of his campaign strategy is screaming at people with a megaphone, so I wrote it off as rather inconsequential.

Makes some very valid points. More importantly, who would you appoint to your cabinet?

one of my main problems with Atlasia is the over-abundance of jobs, so many offices would be left vacant: the rest filled with the people I most trust.

Good video- Tweed... I agree with much of what you said and my campaign is based off of a similar idea...but less about my personality- more about my politics firing people up to oppose me

Anyway, great video, Tweed. You really do care about this place a lot and it's inspiring.

Young Tweed, I finally got around to watching your latest video and I have a few comments.

You note animosity between yourself and Kalwejt. Interestingly, to me at least, is that your running mate "Bald Motherer" and I have traditionally been political allies.

Your video actually does raise my opinion of you (as a candidate, I have always liked you as a poster), despite your improper characterization of my candidacy, and in part because I think the positive attributes you are applying to yourself can be applied to me. Therefore, I attribute it to ignorance as opposed to malice. In fact, you can apply that label to others and be correct for the most part, but I am curious if bgwah agrees that a Napoleon presidency would be boring or lacking in passion. I once sparked enough passion to score the Worst Senator title (with 45% of Atlasians voting me as the worst) to now holding an 85% approval rating as Northeast Governor,  which to me says a lot more than "Meh".

I find Atlasia to be a game and I play it for fun. Sure I am something of a workhorse, rewriting Constitutions and all that jazz, but so is bgwah, who really put in good work on the Wiki, and we don't do it because I expect to be rewarded for it in someway, we do it so the game works and others can have fun too.

There are enough moderate heroes, if I cared about being respected or pleasing the most people, I would have probably bored myself out of this game already and picked a VP less controversial than Kal, who is a great guy by the way and we have had our own bouts of animosity at times. I do care about being a good, or great even, President if elected but not at the cost of what you correctly label "passion". I won't go around creating false controversies but you can be damn sure that I will stick to my guns. I think anyone would back me up on this, even my haters.

Tweed solidifies his position as the forebear of the First Atlasian Revolution - that which sprung it into existence - with a newly released interview.

http://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=153429.msg3293537#msg3293537

the preparation done by Junkie in the lead-up to the interview shines through.  when I am elected, I will via Executive Order commission an Atlasian Research Commission which will do original research, conduct interviews (making use of subpoena power where necessary), and bring the history of the Community into the collective consciousness.

despite the apparent disadvantage in election returns to this point, I will unequivocally state that I will not be conceding the election at 12am EDT, the close of polling.  I ask my double-digit number of supporters to remain with me and the campaign over the next trying sequence of days.  more when polls close.

a brief statement from the candidate 20 minutes after the polls close.

I have seen statements from Oakvale and Clarence, that they have conceded.  I wish them the best. I, however, reiterate, I am not conceding the June 2012 presidential election.  my campaign team has been researching numerous irregularities we have identified in the voting.  we also have reason to believe serious procedural problems cast doubt upon the results as reported by the election Administrator as well as the lay attempts to tabulate.

no official action will be taken until the results are certified.

from Huntington Station New York, thank you, and stay tuned.

Tweed, your next president.

after careful deliberation, I have submitted a claim to the Supreme Court challenging the results of the June 2012 presidential election.  this claim is eligible for all to view, and to comment on, and can be found here.

http://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=155233

I welcome all discussion as pertains to the suit, but warn that I am unlikely to be able to comment on specific aspects of it until its resolution.

may we all remain civil in this trying and contentious time.

This sounds funny, so good luck. Seeing how Tweedist the Atlasian Supreme Court is, I actually wouldn't be surprised if you were successful with your lawsuit. Wink

Also...

I, as a citizen and candidate in the June 2012 presidential election, sue in an attempt to overturn the results of said election as certified by the DoFE and its Secretary, homelycooking.  the certified results can be found:

(text omitted for aesthetic purposes, click above to see)

I file two separate claims, insofar as this is possible.

first, as regards jurisdiction: the Supreme Court has unequivocal power to decide the outcome of a federal election as it sees fit, pursuant to Article III, Section 1, clause 5 of the Third Constitution, which reads as follows:

The Supreme Court shall arbitrate in all disputes concerning federal elections.

CLAIM 1:  the Certification of Napoleon as victor of the June 2012 presidential election, as opposed to Young Tweed, is in violation of Preamble of the Third Constitution, namely, the General Welfare and "equality for all forum members" clauses.  the Preamble reads as follows:

We the People of the Republic of Atlasia, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, support equality for all forum membersand secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Republic of Atlasia.

I seek Supreme Court certification of Young Tweed as the victor of the June 2012 presidential election pursuant to a careful reading of the above text.

CLAIM 2: the Certification of Napoleon as victor of the June 2012 presidential election, as opposed to Young Tweed, is in violation of Clauses 30 and 31, Article 1, Section 5, which read as follows:

30. To protect the Public Health and commerce by making such regulations as shall be necessary for the protection of those in employment.
31. To protect the Public Health, commerce and heritage by making such regulations as shall be necessary for the protection and preservation of natural beauty, biological diversity and other natural resources.

I seek Supreme Court certification of Young Tweed as the victor of the June 2012 presidential election pursuant to a careful reading of the above text.

__

may Chief Justice Ebowed step forward and grant Certiorari.

He totally forgot about the "insure domestic tranquility" part. That clearly implants Tweed as President for life and bans the disruptive practice of elections. I fail to see any other possible interpretation.

It's good to see some people at least show respect for our sacred constitution. What would the founding fathers of this, the Third Atlasian Republic, say were they to see how little their wisdom is respected today?
