This is actually one case where I think the original position was the false one.  The congressional GOP did some serious whip-cracking with regards to the wars, and not supporting/ceasing to support them would result in not getting any aid from the RNC or NRCC.  He did donate $500 to Ron Paul '08, after all.

I agree with you wormyguy. Goode seemed to always be more like Walter Jones/Ron Paul type of Repub.

08 was a big year for 3rd party also... Barr, McKinney, Nader- but I believe with Romney as nominee they will do better this year

No, not really.  He's not well known statewide, and he did lose in 2008 in his District.  He'll have minimal impact, assuming he's even on the ballot.
