He is seeking the Constitution Party nomination.

Roemer, Johnson, now Goode. Why not run every minor center-right candidate in the general because they never had a chance in the primary shall we?

This is actually one case where I think the original position was the false one.  The congressional GOP did some serious whip-cracking with regards to the wars, and not supporting/ceasing to support them would result in not getting any aid from the RNC or NRCC.  He did donate $500 to Ron Paul '08, after all.

I agree with you wormyguy. Goode seemed to always be more like Walter Jones/Ron Paul type of Repub.

If he gets the CP nomination and ballot access, although I don't think he's that well-known outside his old district.

So as of now, I have Ron Paul, then Gary Johnson, then Buddy Roemer, then Virgil Goode as my top preferences. Interesting.

I suppose it isn't a real election unless there's some fascist idiot running to make a fool out of themselves.

No, not really.  He's not well known statewide, and he did lose in 2008 in his District.  He'll have minimal impact, assuming he's even on the ballot.

There's nothing "center" about Goode.

I doubt he would break 1% in Virginia.

I wonder if there is any chance the Greens will run a former governor / congressman, though actress Roseanne will be seeking their nomination.
