Your post count says "leet"! Hahaaa.

You can register in the New Register Thread. It is stickied of course.

Fairly soon we can start our official convention, don't you guys think? Or is this technically it? Tongue

I was going to start it tomorrow if that works? I'm thinking New York City for the location since the Cons have already taken over Philadelphia. Tongue

The Coms, silly! Tongue There's a reason we didn't host it in Chicago.

I'm not exactly comfortable with the party being defined as "centre-left". I thought we were "centre and centre-left"

All of which are pretty meaningless terms. Why not just say "pragmatic progressives" instead? Clears up any confusion.

There already is a centrist party.  The Liberal Party is mostly center-left.

I could back that. I've always considered myself a progressive.

We support the status quo, which grants civil unions to all couples that aren't close kin.

That sounds good to me.  So you do not officially endorse same sex marriage?

We support equality for all couples and feel this is best achieved with the civil union system put in place years ago. I suppose party members are free to personally support or oppose gay marriage, and I do suspect most support, but the policy in place is a good compromise that has worked. As a pragmatic progressive party, policies that work are what we are all about!

I've sent the following, based on a jumble of the various proposed platforms thus far, to Dallasfan as our description for the Introduction to Atlasia thread, hopefully it's too vague to cause any disagreements. Tongue

Mmm, it's insane that a centre-left political party would have something in common with another centre-left political party.

Just join the Social democratic/labor party and try to make it as big as ours. Anyways, didn't the JCP only really gain in strength once the merger occurred between the SDP and the JCP?
Yes, a party that
