Which snobs are the most annoying

Sure, some are just funny (the audiophiles are the easiest to laugh at), some are easy to avoid (I don't remember the last wine or cheese snob I ran into in real life) and some are just silly ("it aint Pizza if aint made in lower Manhattan").  The beer snob is probably the most common one, at least on the internet, but his schtick is usually pretty short (yes, we get it, you had a single American lager years ago and it was watery, thus ALL american beers are sh**t) and easily shut down with information.....they don't learn anything, but they do shut up.

So, which elitists do you find get your goat the best?

I'm a proud beer snob, Deadman, but it's not about American vs. other beer. I've often said there are extremely good American beers out there, just not the mass produce garbage like Budweiser, Miller, Coors, etc.

Although, that is relatively rapidly changing. Beer has come a LONG way in the United States in the last 10 years even. If you go into any half decent bar, the worst you'll be stuck with (in general) is Sam Adams now. That's quite good beer actually.

It's all subjective though right?  I couldn't stand the one Sam Adams I had (admittedly like 20 years ago) and I know I still hate Guiness.  Then again, I don't like my beer thicker than my blood.

Seriously, the wine people are by far the worst. They've created all this bs about "undertones of oak and vanilla" ad nauseum. And the same snobs typically can't make any distinctions in blind taste tests. It's fermented grape juice. Get the hell over it.

Music snobs can vary. I've been annoyed by music snobs, but I also am a music snob. It depends what genre the person is into.

My tendency for beer is "the darker and bitterer the better," but there are plenty of American beers (microbrews) that meet that standard.  Old Rasputin stout (from California) is pretty excellent for people with my tastes.

I find Music snobs most annoying. I hate them with a passion.

I am a little bit of a movie snob, I suppose, but I still respect the ability of people to like films that I (and most other HUGE movie goers) think are rubbish. With that said, I am not so snobbish as to not enjoy the likes of Top Gun, or even Rambo II.

On average, the worst snobs are probably the music or wine variety.
