School shooting in Chardon

What really disturbs me about this case, besides the obvious, is how close it happened; of the 5 wounded students (1 of whom later died), 2 went to Hillcrest Hospital, where my great-grandfather lived for a month, and 3 to MetroHealth Medical Center, where my father works (though he's gotten today, and tomorrow off, so he did not personally treat the shot).
Thankfully, I didn't personally know the shooter or any of the victims. Really sad, though.

Apparently it was another boy-girl issue? People really need to get over themselves and face up to the fact that the world is full of vagina and / or penis.

The kid who did it apparently posted on Twitter the night before that he was going to bring a gun to school and no one thought he was serious, so it's turned into somewhat of a social media/zero tolerence issue.
It's really horrible that this happened and it goes to show that a shooting can happen anywhere, not just a rough inner-city school or a super-rich suburban one but even a sleepy little town like Chardon.

Why does this stuff always happen in the US ? Or in Germany ? Or Finland ?
It looks like these 3 countries account for about 95% of all school shootings on the planet, with the US killers being responsible for about 80% of them.

Why are all the women being held hostage in some basement Austrian?

I've lost interest in the forum and I've wasted far too much time here.
To those I consider forum friends, it's been nice and I hope to keep contact in some form.

There have been many such cases (even worse ? ones) all over the planet, which didn't get this media coverage. In Germany, Poland, the US, Argentina etc.

Apparently the victims were randomly chosen by the shooter - no pattern a la Columbine. I cannot decide if that is more disturbing, because of the randomness, or less disturbing. I'm leaning towards more disturbing.
