Looks like it, though it didn't work as well as Santorum hoped. Maybe they'll jump to Gingrich next?

I think Strong positive and Strong negative opinion of Tea Party voting for Santorum was the biggest surprise for me.

In 2000 17% in the MI GOP primary were dems, it was 7% in 2004. So 9% really isn't that big of a number, especially in a year when there is no action on the Dem side

I think it was appealing to Democrats that cost it for him.  He tried to get some extra votes, but it really pissed off Republicans.  I talked to a bunch of people who were undecided yesterday who said that the robo call was what made them decide to vote for Romney.

So, I think Santorum would've won if he wouldn't have done that.  Dang it, Rick, you cost me a point on my prediction!  Whoever thought that was a good idea must feel lousy now.

Yeah, very stupid for the Santorum campaign.  It reeks of desperation, something that a smarmy and soulless corporate raider would do, not some ethical and moral candidate that Santorum claimed to be.  How can you claim to have personal integrity, when you are trying to get Democrats to vote in the Republican primary?  Its just DUM.

He should have let the Democratic PACs do it for him.

Heck, he could've called Mark Brewer and told him to do it... I don't care.  Just don't do it publicly.  I don't know what's worse, this dumb move or Romney's Ford Field stupidity.  Both our frontrunners have absolutely terrible campaign strategies... We're gonna get slaughtered in November.
