Edwards. Roemer is and always will be an incompetent joke.

I'm not sure if this new tendency to appeal to the apparent inherent evil of Xahar in all things even remotely related to forum policing or this damn game is especially helpful.

Roemer again. I know very little about Edwards and I think the GOP needs more Buddy Roemers in it.

I could point out the various problems with this logic, but I think they're obvious enough that it wouldn't be worth my time.

Correct me if I am wrong, but does not the GOP already have a lot of one-term governors who are in their late 60s and used to be Democrats who made a ton of money with investment firms? In fact, isn't Mitt Romney exactly that?

Yeah, he's more of a Rick Perry type. Opportunist turncoats like him are a dime a dozen in the South.

And pretty unsuccessfully one. He was absolutely clueless as Governor, unable to pass his agenda, whatever it was, while very able in antagonizing the people he needed.
Edwards was at least competent in politics.

And Roemer wins, although a bit close considering it's the guy who's presently running a presidential campaign to the left of Obama vs. the guy who was just paroled last year for the multiple felonies he committed in this term as governor...

I would have voted for Roemer. But since it ended up a race between the crook (Edwin Edwards) and the white supremacist lunatic (David Duke), I probably would have voted for Edwards in the actual runoff.
