http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2012/election_2012_presidential_election/february_2012/national_gop_romney_40_santorum_24_gingrich_16_paul_12

Romney 40%
Santorum 24%
Gingrich 16%
Paul 12%

Santorum might be lucky to win Oklahoma at this rate.

If true this could be a key tipping point. Once he has more support than Gingrich+Santorum, he no longer has to worry about either of them consolidating into a powerful anti-Romney

It's a poll, but momentum seems to shifting toward Mittens.

Congratulations Politico.

Wasn't J.J. saying over and over again that Mitt was at 50%?

We've seen this before. Never underestimate Mittens ability to fumble.

It is what Fox reported this morning, though it might be a different number.

It was against Obama on Gallup:  http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-presidential-primary/212225-gallup-romney-leads-obama-by-four-points

Meh, Mitt always surges to some intimidating number after a win.

This. I think Santorum should win Washington, and if he wins that then it's a tie nationally with Santorum favoured in many super tuesday states. This isn't over unless Mitt wins Washington. He did badly last time didn't he?

This happens after Romney wins. Then something will happen and Santorum will surge. It just happens like clockwork.

I'll be more interested in the polls of GA, OH and TN that come out in the next few days.

The difference this time is that Romney has never been above 34 with this poll. In the past as one anti-Romney fell, another surged. This time almost all of Santorum's support from the last poll has moved to Romney

Change since Rasmussen poll on 2/14
Santorum - 15
Romney + 13
Gingrich +1
Paul +2

It is like the DOW.

"This time is different!"

Then you lose 45% of your 401K.

Yea, it was different all right. Tongue

Replace "Then something will happen" with "Then Romney makes a gaffe".
