I have been to the US-Canadian border at Niagra Falls. I have been near the US-Mexico border at Imperial Beach, which is near San Diego. A nice pier with views of the Helicopters hovering around, trying to keep the Mexicans out. I have also been close to the India-Bangladesh border while visiting Cherrapunji. You can see Bangladesh from there (it's on a mountain overlooking the plains of Bangladesh) but since I went to the rainiest place on earth in the middle of the rainy season, there was no possibility of that occuring.

Oh, and the Singapore-Malaysia border as well lol.

An interesting topic I was just discussing with my brother. What country borders have you come within 10 miles of, on land? (Crossing it counts, obviously). It doesn't count if you're on a plane. To my surprise, I've only actually been to three such boundaries:

US-Canada
France-Netherlands (on St. Martin)
Costa Rica-Nicaragua

What about you?

I've crossed the US-Mexican border at about 7 places, the US-Canada border at 4 points, the Mexico-Guatemala border at 2 points, the Netherlands-Germany border at 2 places, and the following land borders at least once:  Guatemala-Belize, Belize-Mexico, Guatemala-El Salvador, Guatemala-Honduras, Panama-Costa Rica, Peru-Bolivia, Germany-Denmark.  I know that I've been within ten miles of the East-West border in Germany, when it existed, and within ten miles of the China-Hong Kong border, when it existed.  I've probably been within ten miles of several borders as well, such as the northern and southern borders of Nicaragua, and some of the western borders of Germany, but that's all I can remember at the moment.

Borders I've crossed:
Bulgaria-Serbia
Bulgaria-Greece
Serbia-Hungary
Serbia-Croatia
Croatia-Slovenia
Slovenia-Italy
Hungary-Slovakia
Hungary-Romania
Romania-Bulgaria
Hungary-Austria
Slovakia-Czech Republic
Czech Republic-Germany
Czech Republic-Austria
Germany-Netherlands
Germany-France
France-Spain
France-Belgium
Belgium-Germany
Germany-Austria
Austria-Italy
If crossing the English Chanel by tunnel counts as a border crossing, add France-UK

As for other borders, I've visited Rezovo, which is right on the Bulgarian-Turkish border, and I might have come within 10 miles of the Greece-Macedonian and Austria-Slovenian borders.

I hardly ever cross borders by land.  I guess at some point I should visit mainland Europe if I want to get some border crossings in.

I've crossed the US-Canada border at at least five different locations:

NY-Ontario (near Niagra Falls)
MI-Ontario
MN-Ontario
WA-British Columbia at two different locations

I never crossed any border, but I went to Niagara Falls, Ontario and on the bank of the Niagara River. US is just on the other side of the river.

I also went to an event at Stanstead College, in Stanstead, Quebec, which is at 0.4 miles of the US border, just at the end of I-91.
