It's less about his & TJ's respective presidencies, & more about their careers, personalities, & what Lind of people they were. Jefferson I see as a hedonistic, hypocritical, slaveowner & I can never admire a man who tells his daughter to never spend more than she has, then goes off to borrow tons of money from his friends in Dutch banks so he can waltz around Paris paying for whatever he wants & covorting with whomever he wants. Adams on the other hand I view as personally--not politically--more conservative. An example of this is a discussion between him & Jefferson where-in Jefferson dismisses everything that they've written & says that it will be worthless, seeing as the world "belongs to the living". Being a history lover I identify mre with the opposite, the position Adams took, saying that writings & documents should be preserved & that each successive generation should recognize how it was built on the last. Personality wise, one thing I liked when reading about Adams was his pessimism. He sometimes doubted the sincerity of friends, tended to dink into great depression (ok, TJ did too), & wondered if those around him laughed with him or at him. I've felt like that as well in my life & was glad to see such a historical figure have similar feelings.

Overall I refer the incumbency more in this election & I like Adams personally & see him as being caught in a rough time in terms of his presidency.

For the record I would vote that, if the Constitution allowed you to vote for two guys from the same state.
Since it doesn't, I would vote for the guy who helped author the Anti-Federalist Papers.

Oh, I didn't know that we were playing those type of rules. I applaud you for thinking ahead. However, since these men are long since dead and this election is long since over and Aaron Burr was a pimp my vote still stands.

I know the Constitution wouldn't let me vote for two Virginians, but I voted George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson.

And I wouldn't have known about either of those in 1792.

I voted Clinton and Adams.
