Newt's going to win MS and AL and then rocket back into the 30s nationally briefly before being destroyed in IL. Santorum will then win the Missouri caucus and become the anti-Romney again.

I'm not sure he'll win MS.

A facet of the Romney strategy

Attack Gingrich with negative ads to the extent that he becomes so embittered that nothing will compel him to withdraw from the race.

Although, at this point, I rather suspect it is too late to change the outcome of a Romney victory.



I don't even think it's that complex.  Gingrich isn't in it for ideology (he almost never is) - he's in it for his ego (I've been saying this for years).
