The Seal of Approval: The Nomination Fight of Naso and Innamorato
Mike Naso, born and raised in Ohio, worked his way up from being the son of a police officer father and banker mother, to becoming one of the leading contenders for the Republican nomination. He was an average student who went onto attend Ohio State, where he majored in economics. Following graduation he was decided against attending law school, and instead landed a job in Sen. Rob Portman's office. He remained there until he began working on the successful Presidential Campaign of Marco Rubio.
He landed a job in the White House with the Communication team, and created quite the name for himself by appearing on all the necessary talks shows, promoting the Administration and attacking Democrats. He became Press. Secretary and served in it throughout the first term. He then left in 2022 to run for the open senate seat vacated by retiring sen. Rob Portman.
He faced popular Democratic Governor Bobby Jameson and trailed him throughout most the campaign, but a knockout debate performance where Naso charged Jameson for thinking he was "Entitled to the senate seat. I know that is the Democratic way of thinking that this is a entitlement society, but that's not my America, that's not the America the people of Ohio know. We believe in opportunity and hard work, not entitlement and laziness."
That line sealed the deal and Naso turned a five point lead by Jameson into a ten point win for Naso.
Ohio Senate Race: 2022
He served two terms in the US Senate, and then returned back to Ohio where he became a media consultant. He toyed with running in 2036, but passed on it and announced his campaign for President against incumbent Julian Scott in 2039.
Naso is the father of five children and married to his high school sweetie, Jennie. Due to his colorful personality he became a fixture on TV shows and skits on Saturday Night Live.
Phil Innamorato was born into a family of great wealth and prestige. He attended the top schools and earned an MBD from Harvard and a JD from Yale. His father Gregory Innamorato a prominent international businessman based out of Philadelphia, served a consultant on foreign affairs for the Rubio campaign and eventually became UN Ambassador under President Rubio from 2017-2025.
His father's role in the Rubio Administration helped him politically and assured that his future was secured. After the passing of the Bar, Innamorato went to Philadelphia where he landed a job a K&L Gates. He worked his way up, while serving as a member of the school board in his hometown and eventually ran for Congress 2022 and narrowly lost to incumbent Representative Winnie Stone.

He returned to practicing law and remained active in Republican politics and ultimately ran for Governor in 2034 and won, then went onto win a landslide reelection in 2038. He announced his Presidential campaign in 2039.
Innamorato is the father of one and is married to his wife Mary.

The incumbent President, Julian Scott served as Governor of California from 2027-2029, before being tapped to be Vice President for President Marcia Tommie who served from 2029-2037. In a narrow contest to succeed her Scott won the Presidency. He faced a tumultuous term from the start, with the economy going into the tube around 2038. He was deemed to be a likely one term President, but the primary fight between Naso and Innamorato looked to benefit the President, rather than hurt him.
Prior to serving as Vice President and Governor, Scott was a screenwriter with a degree from the University of Berkley. He was twice married, and has three children from his second marriage.

The Primary Fight:
The field to challenge President Scott was large and contested, but following the Iowa and New Hampshire contests the field narrowed to Innamorato and Naso who won Iowa and New Hampshire respectively. Both men trade swaps with victories in Florida, South Carolina, Nevada and Michigan, but where the contest took shape was on Super Tuesday.
With both Naso and Innamorato drawing about even on Super Tuesday the focus shifted to the Texas and Illinois primaries, where both candidates who to drive the other out of the race.
This is a forthcoming timeline that was requested by a few members on the board. The story will deal with two Republican candidates vying for the nomination to fight against the incumbent President Julian Scott.
