I'm annoyed that St. Mary's didn't win, obviously, but I'm more annoyed that it's on Court TV and so I didn't see it.

I hate Missouri, so it was great to see them lose. I also have a friend who's an annoying Duke fan, so that was nice too.
My Mom's meeting up with her sister tomorrow - her and her husband are huge Duke fans, he's an alum, they live in Raleigh. It'll be glorious.

Typically the seeds are upset about 20-25% of the time in the first week of the tournament. But with no upsets in the first eight games, there's some catching up to do if the tournament is to fall within usual statistics.
They definitely caught up yesterday, and then some.

The worst part about this game was, if the Heels were healthy, they win the title. They had 3 McDonalds All Americans injured for this game. 3! What a frustrating season.

Kentucky v. Kansas.
Two historic programs, two great coaches, two great teams.
Will Calipari finally get his first championship? Will Kansas' PG prove he's the best in the game with a ring?
Kentucky last won a championship in 1998, when Tubby Smith (currently Minnesota's coach) was there. That title came only 2 years after Rick Pitino (now at Louisville) won it all for Kentucky.
Bill Self's Kansas last won 4 years ago, doing something Roy Williams was never able to achieve while at Kansas. Self's triumph in 2008 was the first Kansas natl title since Larry Brown was their coach.
This is going to be a classic! Best Part: NO BUTLER!
Who will win? We'll find out Monday night when two historic programs clash.
If Bill Self's squad wins it all, he will be a sure bet for a Hall of Fame induction. If Calipari wins it all for Kentucky, his corrupt past at Memphis will be forgotten and the Bluegrass state will be hoisting up a natl title for the first time in over an decade.

Just caught this.
FTR, Kansas will be playing in the Championship tomorrow with 0 McDonald's All-Americans.
Talent-wise, I'm not sure if Kansas is even one of the Top 10 teams in the country. Elijah Johnson is the only 5 star recruit (per Rivals) on the roster, and he was just borderline a 5 star.
As to the game - Kentucky has the edge. They are far superior to Kansas in terms of talent and depth. However, I firmly believe Kansas is the better coached team, and will find ways to keep it close.
I think Kansas has a good shot at winning this game. If Kansas plays how they did against UNC, Kansas will win. If they play how they did against Purdue or even OSU, they won't. But Kentucky is beatable.

Well that was a boring tournament (compared to the past few years). Oh well, next year will be the one for my beloved Zags.
Speaking of which: suck it St. Mary's!
Also speaking of which: Xahar what's your opinion on Pacific joining the WCC? Personally I was shocked/annoyed... Seattle U or Denver would have been much better options.

Pacific is kind of bizarre. I don't see the point at all. Seattle or Denver would probably be better, but expansion really isn't necessary for the WCC at this point.

My bracket's ended up turning out well - I took 4th on one of the really big ones on Yahoo! Had every Elite Team right except having Marquette instead of Florida, every Final 4 team, and I had the NC Game and Champion correct. Going back through, if Michigan had beaten Ohio and if Marquette beat Florida, I would have taken 2nd, which would have won me money. Oh well
