After much consideration, I will not be running this February.  This is for several reasons, first and foremost being that I will be applying to  colleges later this year and as great as you all are, I don't want to look back and say "I would have gotten into a better college if I hadn't spent so much time on Atlasia."   In addition, the time that the college search would require would greatly decrease the amount of time I could commit to the forums.  Because New York and Pennsylvania deserve a Senator that is not ripping his hair out because of colleges, I announce that I will not be running for reelection. Best of luck to ColinW, Nation, and Lawrence Watson.

Thank you all for your support, and while I will still frequent the forums, I wish everyone the best of luck.

That's a shame.  You were a great senator.

But, regardless, I can certainly see your reasons, and I wish you the best of luck in life.

Sad to see you go Defarge -- If I make the commitment to run, I will certainly try to uphold the moderate liberal approach you took.

Thank you for being my Senator, Defarge. That was a very commendable act like the many that you have done while serving for Atlasia. Best of luck to you.

You were a very independent Senator, Defarge, you spoke your conscience not your party. I thank you for that and your service. Smiley

Sorry to see you go, Defarge. Hopefully you will stay reasonably active as a voter and regular citizen, and perhaps will return to office one day.

It's always sad to see good Democrats like yourself retire. You have served your district, country and party well

Best of luck

Hey, what about me?  Smiley

Good luck, Defarge.  I can certainly understand Forum jobs conflicting with real life, having been there myself.

I'm OK, thanks for asking.  Have taken a bit of a break from the Forum lately, but that was never intended to be permanent.  I'm back.  Smiley
