Let's see If Romney actully wins.

One thing that gets overlooked Is Romney Is the one with most money and outspending
santorum yet he still has trouble with Santorum.

Technically speaking Romney could be doing far better then this even within this ongoing primary, which such would have avoided if one gets 100% technical. Tongue

Mittens has a tendency to underperform and when you are a terrible speaker, a mediocre to slightly okay debater (with no debates), and have to rely on mass bombardment of substandard and low quality advertising, that is not that much of a surprise.

DuPage might be one of the few exceptions.  Generally speaking, Illinois is basically Missouri + Chicago, I've often heard.

Even among repubs, the population mass is in cook and it's ring counties. I wouldn't be surprised if the map is a somewhat less extreme version of the 2010 gov race (with Romney also sweeping the ring counties of course).

And don't forget, "rino Mark Kirk" got 57% in a GOP primary for Senate back in 2010. And he won plenty of rural downstate counties as well. But he murdered it in Cook and the ring counties. Subtract 10% to 15% and you might have Mitt's likely performances in most of the counties.
