Oh, TB, I'm terribly sorry to hear this news.  Heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

I lost my dad when I was 20, and I know lots of other forumites have lost their fathers at far too young an age.  It's a terrible blow, I know, but you shouldn't leave; take some comfort in your friends!

I hope you and your family are able to share good memories of your dad, and keep him alive in your sharing together.  Please take good care!!

Jesus that's horrible. I never really know how to react to news of this type. My own Dad died about a year and half ago in August of 2010. I was only 14 at the time and it was absolutely awful. For me, one of the important things is to keep your memories of your Dad with you forever and to remember the effect he's had on your life despite the fact that now he won't be there for the majority of it. I hope that you and your family are well and can keep it together. I'll keep you, your Dad, and your family in my prayers.

Since I lost my father at fairly young age as well, I can totally relate to this.

I lost my father while still in womb...I hope this doesnt come across as strange but I always considered msyelf lucky not to have been aware of it... Tender Branson I wish you the vry best I can to get thru this tragic time

I'm deeply sorry to hear that. You're in my thoughts, of course... It'll be hard for me to sleep this night after reading that (I've said this many times, but I'm too sensitive), so I imagine you will have many, many difficult days... Please, try to be relaxed and think about your father as the great person he was (I know it because he raised a superb son).

 I don't know what more to say, but, I hope these days are the least tough it's possible...

Like Kal, I suppose you won't read this anytime soon... But I'm waiting for you to come back here, hein? Life isn't easy, TB, but you're just too good, you need to continue posting in this Forum someday Wink

bummer.

I remember when my father died.  I was in the eighth grade.  Then my mother raised us.  She died my first year in grad school.  Slow, painful death.  A death I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

I hope your father died quickly and peacefully, but even if he didn't he's at peace now.  You'll remember only the good stuff, as the years go by.  Take care of your mother and siblings.
