I know. Cal Coolidge should've been one of the most popular.

Poor Little Mat van Buren. Such an outstanding president (my favorite) who defended peace and battled inflation yet, due to the fact that the average high school football (history) teacher does not read enough he is doomed to be disliked. Oh, the Little Magician has run out of tricks!

I liked John Adams before that, granted not for his time or actions as President.

It's probably the "Founding Father" effect if anything.

I must admit though I'm kind of surprised to see FDR polling lower than Truman.  I imagine if somebody from the 1950 were here today they would think this was an April Fool's joke.

How the hell does Coolidge get those numbers? And why did they even bother including W. and Obama? Obama is the incumbent, for Christ's sake, and history hasn't even been written concerning W.'s presidency.

1. Either involves his general weirdness or perception that his policies led to the Depression.
2. The number of people who have an opinion on him are probably too low to count.

To be fair to people, in modern politics we don't really debate the legacy of those older Presidents.
