Let's say that Bush does very well in the debates he went into with his double digit bounce from the convention... what do you say a map looks like?

I think even before the debates there was very few undecided voters.  He MAY have pushed Wisonsin and New Hampshire in to the red.  Other than that states had pretty much made up their mind.

If Bush had had the capability to turn the debates into a cakewalk, he already would have been heading to such a big landslide that it probably wouldn't have mattered.

I'd add WI, NH, CD 2 ME, and possibly MI, PA and the rest of ME to the list.  What's that, 57 Electoral Votes?

Definitley possible.  Had the Swift Boats Veteran for truth ad never been aired how well do you think Kerry would have done?

I didnt realize it had that much of an effect.  Do you think it was the key issue that turned the election towards Bush?

My prediction: 332-206 Bush electoral win.

I agree with almost everything.  However, I don't think Bush would have gotten over 60% in Georgia.  He's already very close, but the Republicans have just about maxed out the white population there.  Unless Bush won a substantial minority, around 25%, of the African-American population, Bush could not have gotten over 60%.  The demographics have moved slightly in the democrats favor since Reagan got over 60%.  Also, I think Michigan should be won without a majority.

I don't see Minnesota going Republican without Michigan also swinging. They'd both certainly be very close states, if Bush manages to capture PA and ME2.

I agree with what you said about Georgia... I changed the shade. However, I do think Kerry would have won Michigan. But I changed the shade to the 40 percent range.
